She initially believes him, locking Nicholas up and knocking him out one night. Molly continuously reports back to Ranford, who at one point tells her that Nicholas Dexter, her love interest, is not his real name. So, she searches Sasha's room and discovers she only changed her identity from Suzy Walters so she could start a new life rather than continue to be an outcast like in high school. Ostracized by the sorority, Molly asks her dad to research her, but he calls to tell her he can't find info on Sasha either. ![]() She then discovers that Alex secretly goes off to his home on a lake.Įnvious of the positive attention Molly is receiving from the other sisters, Sasha plants some items that have disappeared from various sisters in Molly's things. Why Am I Getting Junk Mail in the First Place? Here are six types of physical spam/junk mail you may have received: Verizon is one of the worst "junk mail" offenders in the modern era and often sends physical mail for advertising purposes. This much mail may result in important mail being lost in the shuffle or accidentally thrown away. The average American receives 18 pieces of junk mail for every piece of real mail they receive. What Kind of Physical Spam or Junk Mail Does Verizon Send? If you'd like to reduce the amount of junk mail you receive and the impact on the environment, DoNotPay offers a service that contacts companies like Verizon that send you physical promotional materials frequently. Some sources claim that about 45% of junk mail goes directly into landfills without ever being read. Receiving junk mail is annoying, and we all tend to immediately toss it out without thinking twice. For most of us, this type of advertising is the definition of junk mail. But even in the age of technology, Verizon still employs outdated direct mail campaigns to advertise products and promotions. That story had a happy ending- Knight donated them to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, where they are being preserved for the public. The astronaut had apparently stowed them there before his death. In 2015, Neil Armstrong’s widow, Carol Held Knight, found a white bag filled with space artifacts that flew with him to the moon inside a closet. Check out this biography to know about her childhood, family, personal life, etc. This isn’t the first time NASA has come across contentious, precious bags from lunar missions past. Carol Held Knight is the second wife of Neil Armstrong. In a statement, the government told Hegeman that the bag is “a rare artifact, if not a national treasure.” NASA responded with its own lawsuit against Ary in an attempt to regain the bag. But Nancy Lee Carlson, who purchased it at auction, claims it is rightfully hers and filed a lawsuit. Once NASA realized the mix up, the agency did not hand over the priceless bag. Hegeman explains that the bag was initially forfeited by Ary to pay for his restitution costs. But due to an error in NASA’s system, the bag was confused with another space bag from a later lunar landing, and was then accidentally sold to an Illinois woman for just $995 at auction. In 2005, Ary was indicted on charges of stealing over 400 space-related items on loan from NASA and other institutions. In 2003, it was found among the effects of Max Ary, the former president of the Kansas Cosmosphere, who was convicted of stealing and selling space artifacts from the museum. He became worried his second marriage would affect his relationship. ![]() The bag was taken to the moon by the Apollo 11 spacecraft in July 1969 and contains, according to a government station, “lunar material embedded in its fabric.” Emblazoned with the words “Lunar Sample Return,” the bag was used by astronauts to take moon rocks back to Earth.īut as reports, the bag has had a checkered past since then. Cassette tape case1/18/2024 ![]() The coercivity of audio tapes varies from 350 Oe to 1200 Oe. Coercivity is a measure of the external magnetic flux required to magnetize the tape, and an indicator of the necessary bias level.Remanence of audio tapes, referred to quarter-inch tape width, varies from around 1100 G for basic ferric tapes to 3500 G for Type IV tapes advertised remanence of the 1986 JVC Type IV cassette reached 4800 G. Saturation remanence limits maximum output level and, indirectly, dynamic range of audio recordings. Two fundamental magnetic properties, relevant for audio recording, are: These require strong external magnetic fields to be magnetized, and retain substantial residual magnetization after the magnetizing field is removed. Magnetic recording relies on the use of hard ferrimagnetic or ferromagnetic materials. Metal particle tapes migrated to Type II and Type I, ferricobalt formulations migrated to Type I. Panasonic developed evaporated metal tapes that could be made to match any of the three IEC types. In the 1980s the lines between three types blurred. Double-layer Type III tape formulations, advanced by Sony and BASF in the 1970s, never gained substantial market presence. 'Type 0' was a non-standard designation for early compact cassettes that did not conform to IEC specification.īy the time the specifications were introduced, Type I included pure gamma ferric oxide formulations, Type II included ferricobalt and chromium(IV) oxide formulations, and Type IV included metal particle tapes-the best-performing, but also the most expensive. Specifications of each type were set in 1979 by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC): Type I (IEC I, 'ferric' or 'normal' tapes), Type II (IEC II, or 'chrome' tapes), Type III (IEC III, ferrichrome or ferrochrome), and Type IV (IEC IV, or 'metal' tapes). Weather in columbus ohio sunday1/17/2024 ![]() Does Columbus have cleaner air than Cincinnati?ĭespite Columbus’s larger population and higher traffic burden, air pollution levels here tend to be similar to those of Cincinnati.įor ozone pollution, both Hamilton County (including Cincinnati) and Franklin County (including Columbus) were rated an “F” in 2019 for exceeding the federal allowance of unhealthy ozone days. Five months in 2019 exceeded the US AQI “good” rating, February, March, July, November, and December. While Columbus air quality meets annual PM2.5 targets, the city received a “B” rating for having one day in the “orange” US AQI category. These trends tend to correspond with maximum readings at monitors to the northeast of the city, such as the New Albany air quality monitoring site and London air quality monitoring site. Columbus’s worst unhealthy ozone days, where ozone exceeded AQI levels of 100, tend to correspond with wind blowing in from the southwest or west. Primary ozone sources include vehicle emissions from cars, trucks, and buses as well as power plants and other sources of combustion. Hot, sunny conditions are required for ozone formation, which is created when precursor pollutants, nitrogen oxides (NO 2) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), cook in sunlight. The ozone pollution season coincides with summer, running from March through October. Columbus ozone received an “F” rating from the 2019 “State of the Air” report. 11 percent of all days that exceeded this same standard, meanwhile, were the result of high levels for fine particle pollution, PM2.5.Ĭolumbus’s worst air pollution rating comes from ozone pollution. In the summer, where ozone levels tend to be most severe, 22 percent of days that exceed US “good” AQI standards were a result of high ozone. Why does Columbus have unhealthy air quality?Ĭolumbus unhealthy air quality is largely attributable to two pollutants: fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and ozone.Īccording to the Central Ohio Air Report, a majority of days in Central Ohio from November 2018 to October 2019 experienced “good’ US Air Quality Index (AQI) levels. In order to meet these more stringent targets and better serve sensitive groups, Columbus will need to implement additional emission standards to drive down the presence of ozone precursor pollutants, nitrogen dioxide (NO 2) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), to combat the effects of a warming climate.įollow Columbus air quality data at the top of this page or on the IQAir AirVisual app for the most current health data and advisories. 3 The new standard better serves children, the elderly, and people with heart and lung conditions, who are all categorized as “sensitive” to air pollution. National ozone standards became more stringent in 2015, when the U.S. Correlating to the increased temperatures, 4 of the 5 highest ozone days also occurred this month, with the fifth occurring on June 28. July was the hottest month of the year in 2019 (2.9☏ higher than the month average from 2007 to 2016), with below-average precipitation. From July to October, Columbus experienced hotter temperatures in 2019 than the average of temperatures in the last decade from 2007 to 2016. As climate change drives temperatures higher, ozone formation becomes accelerated. ![]() This recent gain in ozone concentrations may, however, be more indicative of weather than emissions. While the number of unhealthy ozone days have been on the decline in recent years, “moderate” ozone levels, which exceed federal “good” standards but are not classified as “unhealthy,” increased from 18 percent in 2018 to 21 percent in 2019. ![]() 1 Columbus air quality has in fact never met this ozone target. While such optimistic annual ratings show general success in keeping air pollution levels low, it only takes several hours of elevated air pollution levels to cause adverse health effects in the general public.įrom 2016 to 2018, Franklin County, of which Columbus is the county seat, experienced a weighted average of 4.3 unhealthy ozone days annually, exceeding the federal target allowing no more than 3.2 unhealthy days a year. But who knows! Overall, I like this concealer as something for quick application and on the go days but if need really hardcore, long wearing coverage I do need to rely on another product to get the job done. Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Eraser lacks these characteristics which shortens the wear time. A stronger wear could be due to the thicker consistency of those concealers and the little bit of “stick” for lack of a better word that they have. I can easily get three to four hours wear from it but other concealers I know and use like my favorite It Cosmetics Concealer tends to wear strong all day. This could be one reason it tends to wear away rather quickly. The concealer has a thinner consistency with a softer, hydrating finish. My main issue with the formula is it has a rather short wear time. I’m pleased with the over all look of my eyes after application though. ![]() I think if you have severe dark circles you might need a little extra coverage but this seems to build well enough in my opinion. It conceals my puffiness, my dark circles, and my finer lines providing decent coverage to brighten up the area and create the look of flawlessness. It doesn’t crease into finer lines and provides sheer to medium coverage. The concealer itself blends easily under my eyes. Although I admit over time that little puff tends to get disgusting and isn’t easy to wash really. Both the texture and this soft little puff makes for an excellent application and the formula just seems to glide across my skin like butter. The puff is a great way to glide concealer into place. This has a tiny puff on the end which concealer flows into as you twist. ![]() It’s a pleasantly moist, hydrating texture without being greasy or oily. Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Spot Concealer (shade swatches below 22 Light/Medium) seems to have improved upon the formula. I didn’t like the original Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer in all honesty because I felt like it was greasy feeling. This is available in five shades for around $8.99-$9.99. I’ll update this post should I see any results in the future on dark spots. I like the idea it could be treating my problem areas though and if it works all the better. I’d probably have to try this for a year or more to see the best results so I’ll only be discussing the texture, coverage, etc…of this as a concealer but not as a treatment. Maybelline promises to visibly decrease dark spots in as little as four weeks so not only does it concealer but it treats aging spots, dark spots, acne scarring, and sunspots.Ĭoncentrated vitamin C is a tricky little ingredient and isn’t always stable or effective at brightening/whitening.
